Ear Treatments

“Ear seeds” are the sterilized seeds of the vaccaria plant, stuck on tiny pieces of medical tape or latex-free stickers. These seeds are just the right size to stimulate acu-points in the ear. There are also “press balls” or “ear beads” – metal balls manufactured to be about the same size as vaccaria seeds, and stuck to tape/adhesive in the same way.

Sometimes we use ear seeds or press balls in the clinic to help extend the effects of an acupuncture treatment. You can also use them as a way to treat yourself at home!
