On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, acupuncture is FREE at Boston Acupuncture Project, Hyde Park’s new community acupuncture clinic! Come celebrate May Day and kick off a membership drive for the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) with a free sample acupuncture treatment.
Also known as International Workers Day, May Day is acknowledged worldwide as a commemoration of the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. Community Acupuncture clinics are social businesses dedicated to affordable healthcare.
Community acupuncture has been popularized in the USA by the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture, a multi-stakeholder cooperative working to make acupuncture available to as many people as possible and to support those providing acupuncture to create stable and sustainable businesses and jobs.
Boston Acupuncture Project, a clinic member of POCA, regularly provides acupuncture treatment for everybody on a sliding scale of $20-$40. With over 150 Community Acupuncture clinics across North America, thousands of individuals are expected to receive free services on May 1st.
Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health for effectively treating nearly four dozen conditions, including: Side Effects from Chemotherapy, Allergies, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Sciatica, Headaches, Arthritis, Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Infertility, and more.
Whether you have ever been to Boston Acupuncture Project or not, you can click here to reserve your May Day free treatment online or walk in from 2:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, May 1 at 74 Fairmount Ave, Hyde Park, MA 02136. Walk-ins will be seen only if there is space, so appointments are recommended!
