Massage Therapy
The staff of Imani Massage partner with Boston Acupuncture Project to bring the healing power of therapeutic massage to Hyde Park.
The goal of Imani is for each client to feel empowered. This is done by being clear about session expectations and providing recommendations for an ongoing relationship.
Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities. We are committed to growth and development which allows our clients to experience new techniques.
We offer the strength behind Sports Massage Therapy, the compassionate touch for the frail and elderly, the gentle strokes for moms-to-be, the caring touch for infants, and the relaxing touch for the over-worked.
All our massage therapists are licensed by the Board of Registration of Massage Therapy for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Licensed Massage Therapists
Christine Rose, LMT (she/her)

In her words: “I am a passionate and committed person. I have always known that I was meant to impact peoples’ lives, touch their souls, and empower them to be the best they can be.
In the corporate world I worked in restaurant management and the financial industry. This allowed me to mentor numerous people. I continued to make a difference in the not for profit sector as a volunteer and a community leader.
After many years of empowering others, I was inspired to follow my own path and started Imani. Imani is the Swahili word for faith. It is faith that empowered me to create Imani ~a relaxation place in 2011.”
Josh Selby, LMT (he/him)

Josh Selby believes everyone can benefit from massage. He strives to create a soothing and calm environment where clients can release any tension they have built up day-to-day.
As far back as he can remember, Josh had incredibly limited flexibility. He spent his teens and early twenties attending physical therapy – then losing any progress he achieved once his insurance coverage ran out. At the suggestion of his physical therapist, he decided to try massage. The resulting increased flexibility allowed him to shave four minutes off his 23-minute walk to work. He decided that someday he would like to go to massage school. In 2017, after ten years working in non-profit retail management, he quit his job and enrolled at the Massage School in Boston’s South End. He graduated in July 2019.
Jonathan Robinson, LMT (he/him)

Jonathan Robinson is a graduate of the Elizabeth Grady School of Aesthetics and has been a licensed massage therapist for 12 years. He provides therapeutic and relaxation massage. He enjoys providing chair massages in the community. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys line dancing and traveling.
