This month, BAP hosts a fundraiser for the Hyde Park Food Pantry. Join us for community acupuncture on Friday, November 14, 4-6 PM. Click here to save your spot.

Our mission is to provide hunger relief to our neighbors who can’t make ends meet.

Headline: Help Feed Hyde Park Neighbors In Need. Together we can make a difference. With SNAP benefits being suspended in November, the need is greater than ever. Acupuncture at Juneteenth Joy

SO MUCH is happening at Hyde Park’s Juneteenth Joy celebration! BAP continues our tradition of providing acupuncture to attendees at no cost. Join us from 10:00 AM-2:30 PM for a treatment. (Hey, those are almost normal clinic hours!) The event will be at the Martini Shell Park unless it rains. Please be sure to register for Juneteenth Joy to stay updated on any schedule or venue changes!

We’re also looking for Boston Acupuncture Project volunteers. We need you to help sign people up for free acupuncture treatments! Please text or email Ren if you’re interested in helping with BAP’s activities at Juneteenth Joy.

Volunteer Opportunity on Friday, Feb 21, 4-7 PM

Do you want to spread the word about the awesomeness of community acupuncture, meet your neighbors, AND support another great local non-profit? This is your chance! Volunteer for our Friday Fundraiser benefiting Afrimerican Culture Initiative! (And be sure to check out their Black History Month event series, Boston Redline 87.)

What will volunteers do?

  • greet people and welcome them to BAP
  • offer consent forms if they’re new
  • explain policies and forms
  • give tours of the clinic

Who can volunteer?

Anyone who is a current or former participant in community acupuncture at BAP is welcome to volunteer!

One hour is great, you don’t need to stay the entire time. All volunteers get a voucher for a free treatment on another day.

Established in Boston, ACI is a visionary nonprofit organization specializing in Cultural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (CDEI) and Restorative Project Management (RPM). Our mission since 2015: to weave a fabric of unity within Boston’s multicultural landscape through strategic education, innovative technology, and meaningful travel experiences.

JP Health & Wellness Fair – rescheduled

All are welcome to this wellness fair! Come check out samples of the various practioners, instructors and therapists’ work! There will be live demonstrations, educational information, food and wares (so bring money)!

Boston Acupuncture Project will offer free acupuncture – no one turned away for lack of funds – and welcoming donations to the North American Indian Center of Boston.

We’re looking for local, JP volunteers to help sign folks up for free treatments. Interested in chatting with your neighbors and helping spread the word about our effective, affordable acupuncture services? Get in touch with Ren about volunteering.

Volunteer Opportunities in August 2024

Sunday, August 11: Hyde Park Open Streets

If you’re a current or former participant in community acupuncture at BAP, we could use your help! Boston Acupuncture Project offers free sample sessions at Hyde Park Open Streets on Sunday, August 11. 

BAP could use help for an hour or two with any of the following.

  • Set up tent, bring materials out of the clinic: 8:30-9:30 AM
  • Watch all the stuff while Ren takes a break: 9:30-10:00 AM
  • Signing people up for free treatments, chat about acupuncture: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Breakdown, put things back inside: 4:30-6:00 PM

NOTE: River Street will be CLOSED on August 11 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM along the event route, 1219 River Street to 1266 River Street.

Saturday, August 17: HELP Founders Day

Boston Acupuncture Project will be tabling at HELP by AMG Founders Day in in Roxbury from 4-7 PM on Saturday, August 17.

During these free, family-friendly events, Open Streets Boston will temporarily close major thoroughfares to car traffic. This opens them to people biking, walking, rolling, and connecting with neighbors and local businesses.
